  9. A.   Installation of Sound Galaxy (Washington) OS/2 Warp Device Driver
  10.      =================================================================        
  11.      
  12.      I. For Non-existence of other Audio Adapters 
  13.      --------------------------------------------
  14.  
  15.      In the process of installing OS/2 Warp with the sound card in the system,
  16.      the "Multimedia Device Support" under "System Configuration" screen will
  17.      display "Sound Blaster Pro (MCV or OPL3)". This has to be removed before 
  18.      installing the Sound Galaxy Sound Card device driver. Please follow the 
  19.      following steps : (N.B. Skip steps 1 to 5 if OS/2 Warp has already been
  20.      installed).

  22.        1.  Click at the icon beside the "Multimedia Device Support" when the
  23.            "System Configuration" screen pops up during the installation
  24.            process.
  25.  
  26.        2.  Remove the Drivers from the "Device[s] in System to be install".
  27.  
  28.        3.  Select O.K. The [None] option will be shown at the "Multimedia 
  29.            Device Support".
  30.  
  31.        4.  Select O.K again and continue with the rest of the instruction to
  32.            complete the installation of OS/2 Warp.
  33.  
  34.        5.  Shut down and reboot the system after the installation is completed.
  35.  
  36.        6.  Select <Multimedia Application Install> from the Multimedia folder.
  37.      
  38.        7.  Insert Sound Galaxy OS/2 Warp Audio Driver Diskette in drive A: 
  39.            or B:. 
  40.      
  41.        8.  Change the source drive to where the Sound Galaxy OS/2 Warp      
  42.            Audio Driver diskette is.  (i.e. A:\ or B:\). 
  43.       
  44.        9.  Highlight "Sound Galaxy" feature and then select "Install".
  45.      
  46.        10. Select "YES" in "Change CONFIG.SYS" dialog box and continue with 
  47.            driver installation.
  48.      
  49.        11. Select "1" when the system prompts you to select the number of 
  50.            Sound Card.
  51.       
  52.        12. It is recommended that you use the default settings when the     
  53.            Sound Galaxy Sound Card Installation screen appears.  
  54.            
  55.        13. System will then update the CONFIG.SYS file, and please follow   
  56.            the on screen instructions to continue the installation.
  57.      
  58.        14. Shut down and reboot the system after installation is completed.

  61.        II. For existence of other Audio Adapters
  62.        -----------------------------------------
  63.  
  64.        If any Audio Device Driver is currently installed, it has to be removed
  65.        before installing the Sound Galaxy Sound Card Device Driver. Refer to 
  66.        the corresponding audio adapter manual or readme.txt for more details.
  67.  
  68.        For example, if Sound Blaster Pro device driver is installed, the
  69.        following lines must be removed from the respective files.

  83.        After all the previously loaded audio device driver has been removed 
  84.        and the system rebooted, follow steps 6 to 14 in Part I to install 
  85.        the Sound Galaxy Sound Card Device Driver.

  89. B.   De-installation of Sound Galaxy (Washington) OS/2 Warp Device Driver

  92.      To de-install the Sound Galaxy Device Driver, the following lines
  93.      must be removed from the respective files.

  109. C.   Installation of Sound Galaxy (Washington) WIN-OS/2 Device Driver

  112.      Please note that any previously installed Windows sound card driver
  113.      has to be removed before installing the WIN-OS/2 driver.
  114.    
  115.        1. Open the WIN-OS/2 folder from the OS/2 SYSTEM COMMAND PROMPTS folder.
  116.  
  117.        2. Open the CONTROL PANEL from the WIN-OS/2 MAIN Group.
  118.  
  119.        3. Double click on the DRIVERS icon.
  120.  
  121.        4. Choose the "ADD" button to add a new driver.
  122.  
  123.        5. Highlight the "Unlisted or Updated Driver" item and then select the
  124.           "OK" button.
  125.  
  126.        6. Enter the drive and the path (i.e A:\WIN_OS2) in the Install 
  127.           Driver windows and then select "OK" button.
  128.  
  129.        7. Highlight the "16-bit Audio Driver" in the list windows and press
  130.           "Enter" to continue.
  131.  
  132.        8. Use the default setting in 16-bit Audio Board setup windows.
  133.  
  134.        9. Select "Restart Windows Now" to restart the Windows in order for
  135.           the added driver to take effect.

  138. Note : As WIN-OS/2 is not 100% compatible with Microsoft Windows Sound System,
  139.        there might be problems encountered when running Voyetra application
  140.        like Audiostation and MIDI Orchestrator in WIN-OS/2 platform. To play
  141.        WAV or MIDI files, please use MediaPlayer in WIN-OS/2 instead.
